2022 fundraising reaches over £3,200 – THANK YOU

Our profits from 2022 have reached over £3,200 bringing our all time profits up to £30,735 since 2009. This is our second best year for profits, topped only in 2016, and we’re grateful for all your support, especially through challenging times!

This year has been more of a normal one, and we’ve begun to make plans again to have amazing adventures together.

In January 2022 we started a new Archery Club in the District, inviting neighbouring Districts too, and making use of some old Scouting equipment. It’s become apparent though that it’s past it’s best and so some of your funding will go towards buying updated equipment in the new year.

We’ve also made the decision to subsidise our Brownie and Guide holidays taking place in February and April 2023 to the amount of £50 per girl, to ensure all our young members are able to have an adventure, despite the rising cost of living.

We can’t wait to report to you all next year how your funding is beginning to make a difference once more.
Our Facebook Page also went over 3,500 followers this year so a massive thanks to everyone spreading the word about the website and what we do.

As always, the District would like to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for your continued support, whether you are an avid badge collector wanting something different for your collection or a Leader looking for a resource for your unit. Or perhaps you donated badges to us during the year. Each and every one of you has made a difference to Girlguiding Dursley District.
