Dursley does Disney 2026

Wow! What a rollercoaster!

During this half term, and in a heat wave, 34 fabulous girls and young women and 13 amazing leaders (all volunteers) spent four days on a magical adventure to Disneyland Paris. This was made possible by using over £6,000 of funding from the GirlguidingBadges.co.uk website, thanks to your donations of badges and/or badge purchases over the last few years. The girls have fundraised for themselves too and we've match funded them from badge funding.

We've travelled over 700 miles, from Dursley to Dover, on the ferry to Calais, and on to Disneyland Paris (and back again), where we spent 2 glorious days in the Disney parks. Boy was it hot, but we looked after each other (girls and leaders alike), drinking loads of water and applying sun cream every five minutes! The smiles and giggles from the girls on the return journey, and the messages from parents in the days after we returned prove all the time and effort to make this magic happen was worth every second.

Thank you for all your support.

There are a few badges left which are now for sale on the website!
