Right from the start of the Guide section in 1910 the badges were a round, green design on a navy/black background. However during difficult times such as World War One, badges we made from whatever materials could be found and so a wide variety of colours .
Felt badges
Unless dates are given, the designs were available from 1910 through to c.2003 when the Guide programme was given an overhaul and the badge design changed completely.
Some badges became staged badges in the 1990s. These staged badges were available for Brownies and Guides to complete.
