Guide Badges
Guides was the original section of Girlguiding, founded in 1910. The Guide programme has seen several badge changes over the years. The most significant change came in 2003 when the whole Guide programme changed. Then, in ?? the badge designs were changed again. These remained in use until 2019 when the new programme for all Guiding sections was introduced in September 2018 and the old programme officially retired the following September.
Brownie Badges
Brownies was the second section of Girlguiding, starting in 1914. The Brownie programme had a big overhaul in 2003 when the traditional brown triangular badges were retired and the more modern yellow diamond shaped badges came into use. These remained in use until 2019 when the new programme for all Guiding sections was introduced in September 2018 and the old programme officially retired the following September.
